Before pickup
- Verify the driver name, phone and vehicle registration shared for the duty.
- Confirm pickup point, date, time, route and passenger phone.
- Do not overload seats or block safe luggage placement.
- Carry identification, medicines, water and weather-appropriate clothing.
On mountain roads
Seat belts should be used where fitted. Safe speed, official controls and driver rest take priority over a rushed itinerary. Do not ask the driver to cross a closure, drive into an unauthorised zone or continue when visibility and road surface are unsafe.
Health and altitude
Some Ladakh and high-pass routes reach significant altitude. Gradual travel, hydration and rest may help, but they are not medical treatment. Severe headache, confusion, breathlessness at rest or worsening symptoms require prompt qualified medical attention and possible descent.
Emergency information
Keep your hotel, booking desk, travel insurer and personal emergency contacts available offline. Emergency numbers and road advisories can change; verify official local information for the travel date.
Hygiene and illness
If a traveller is unwell or has special medical needs, inform the booking desk without sharing more health information than necessary. Follow current official public-health advice; older COVID-era rules should not be assumed to remain in force.
